Participants will have the unique opportunity to work with Studio Museum artists in residence Njideka Akunyili and Meleko Mokgosi to create their own works of art influenced by the themes and techniques present in Romare Bearden’s work. The culmination of this four-day workshop will be a celebration and presentation of the artwork created by participants on Target Free Sunday, February 26th from 12:00-3:00pm.

Hands On is free, designed especially for high school-aged teens. Participation is on a first-come first-served basis, space is limited. All interested teen artists must RSVP (GLeavell@studiomuseum.org) to register for this Hands On workshop. Snacks and lunch (on Saturday) will be provided.
