Storytellers, poets, and baseball historians from Brooklyn and the Bronx explore the legendary rivalry and share their borough love stories.

Join The Bronx Museum as we celebrate New York City’s two greatest boroughs with an evening of stories and spoken word poetry. Tour the galleries to discover insights into selected artworks in the museum. Show your allegiance by sipping beer from the Bronx Brewery or Brooklyn Brewery. Rep your borough in our open mic session!

Featuring

  • Brooklyn storyteller Daisy Rosario
  • Bronx poet Pearl Quick
  • Brooklyn poet Tuan X
  • Yankees historian Tony Morante
  • Brooklyn Dodgers historian Bob McGee

The goals of Bronx Stories are four-fold:

  1. to challenge stereotypes about the Bronx and promote positive images of the borough;
  2. to provide a platform for voices from the community and space for the community to come together;
  3. to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere in the museum; and
  4. to encourage deeper engagement with the arts.
