Dark Girls Preview by Bradinn French

Clips from the upcoming documentary exploring the deep-seated biases and attitudes about skin color—-particularly dark skinned women, outside of and within the Black American culture.

Actor Director/Producer Bill Duke and Writer/Producer Director D. Channsin Berry join forces to bring a thought provoking film on colorism within the Black Community.  Dark Girls addresses how some women of a darker hue perceive themselves as well as the public perception of beauty and the emotional toll this bias has on those individuals. Anyone who has been made to feel less-than because of color, race, gender or class will be touch by this emotionally charged film with an underlying message of healing.  The film presentation is immediately followed by a brief Q & A session with the directors.

VIP tickets are $78.50 and include priority seating, reception and a meet-and-greet with the directors.

This film is open to all ages.  All attendees must have a ticket.

The end result will be to create a video slide/collage of these image to present as my final project.
