On September 26th, 2011, Wordspit & The ILLest take the stage in a historic concert live at SOBS benefiting HIV awareness. Helmed as a “concert with a cause”, the goal of this event is to unite attendees through music and art, raising awareness and money by way of donation helping young individuals through MTV’s Staying Alive Foundation continue the fight in stopping the spread of HIV.

Joining Wordspit & The ILLest opening for this event are Dremur, Cocoa Sarai and Mr. Reed. Please help us in spreading the word on this great event, which will provide a platform for up and coming artists to promote messages of awareness and unity amongst those in our community.

It is obvious that Wordspit is a star in the making. Add a resume that includes a national ad campaign with McDonald’s; an Underground Music Award for Most Dynamic Solo Artist (2010); features on sites like 2DopeBoyz, Capcom, The Source, XXL, DefSounds, HipHopDX; Wordspit is an all out force to be reckoned with! Accompanied by violinist Jordan Ware, bass guitarist Tyrell, guitarist Duke, Powers on drums, Cocoa Sarai and Mr. Reed on vocals along with DJ Laser, Wordspit creates an all out auditory and creative experience with his band “The ILLest”.

Since performing at such local New York venues as South Paw & Santos Party House, Wordspit & The ILLest have expanded their brand in 2011 through performances at RocNation, The Knitting Factory, Gramercy Theatre, and New Meadowlands Stadium. Fresh off the release of their “That’s Rocawear” campaign ad, there has been added anticipation in what holds next for this group of talented individuals.
