The candidates have diverse opinions on important issues such as the process to revitalize the economy and healthcare, especially with regards to women. Everyone who can vote should VOTE! Everyone should be near a television and among individuals to discuss what the future of America will look like after Tuesday, November 6th.

Join the Young and Powerful for Obama’s “Vision NYC: Obama For America Fundraising Event & Rising Star Awards Reception”. This event will be a night of socializing, art, music and more to help raise funds for our 44th President Barack Obama’s campaign and the efforts to keep moving the country forward.
This years recipients include a mix of men and women who exemplify the qualifications for this award. Award recipients include, Congresswoman Yvette Clarke, Assemblyman & Congressional Candidate Hakeem Jeffries, Peggy Dodson, the Creator and Founder of the Urban Broadcasting Company, Marvin Bing the Northwest Regional Director for the NAACP, Stevan “Coach” Lynn the executive producer of Dare to Dream, and Uraidah Hassani, the Founder & Executive Director of The Women Worldwide Initiative. In addition to the honorees, State Senator Eric Adams will serve as a guest speaker and invited guests include Speaker of New Jersey State Assembly Sheila Oliver, Obama Victory Fund Trustee, and NJ White House Surrogate.   

A live performance by international singing sensation Belinda Munro will also round out the evening events.  

Red carpet will begin at 6pm. Complimentary cocktails and appetizers will be served from 6pm to 8pm. 
Young and Powerful for Obama is an organization that started in 2007 when Barack Obama declared his candidacy for president. We will have representatives from the city available with the appropriate forms and information to help you register to vote or change your address, etc. Also, it is important to note that this is not a partisan event. This event is about understanding the issues and making an informed decision on who to vote for on November 6th. The purpose of the watch party is not to advocate for either candidate specifically. Supporters of President Obama and Governor Romney are both welcome to attend and participate in the process.
